What is the UK-India Young Professionals Scheme?
The UK-India Young Professionals Scheme 2026, also known as the India Young Professionals Scheme Visa, is a special UK visa route for eligible young Indian citizens. It allows successful applicants aged between 18 and 30 to live, work and study in the United Kingdom for up to two years.
Applicants do not need an employer-sponsored job offer before entering the ballot. However, they must first submit an entry through the official UK Government ballot and be selected before applying for the visa.
The second and final YPS ballot for 2026 will open on 21 July 2026 and close on 23 July 2026. Entering the official ballot is free, and applicants must provide their name, date of birth, passport details, passport scan or photograph, phone number and email address.

- Be between 18 and 30 years old
- Be at least 18 years old on the planned UK travel date
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification
- Have at least £2,530 in personal savings
- Not have children under 18 who live with them
- Not be financially responsible for children under 18
- Not have previously stayed in the UK under the India Young Professionals Scheme
- Not have previously stayed under the Youth Mobility Scheme Visa
